In order to make liturgy more meaningful, a Training programme on liturgy was organized on 27th February 2022 for all lectors and choir members at St. Lawrence Minor Basilica, Attur. The programme was organized by the liturgy commission of the Parish. Rev. Fr. Vijay Machado, director of Mangala jyothi liturgical center, Mangalore diocese was the resource person. Fr Melwyn Pinto was present for the programme.

The programme began with a prayer led by deacon Pradeep Cardoza. Mrs. Janet Tellis liturgy commission coordinator was the host of the programme , Mrs. Florine Noronha  welcomed the gathering and Mrs. Benedicta Pinto  introduced the resource person to the gathering.

Fr Vijay explained in detail the ministry of Lectors and importance of choir and music through a powerpoint presentation. Practical session was held thereafter. At the end Fr. Vijay Machado clarified the liturgical doubts that the lectors expressed.

More than 110 parishioners attended the programme. Mrs. Leena Dsilva thanked the resource person and also  everyone gathered for the programme.
