St. Lawrence Minor Basilica, Attur celebrated COMMUNITY DAY ("ಸಮುದಾಯಚೊ ದೀಸ್ - 2022") on October 16th, 2022 from 4:00 PM onwards. The program was inaugurated by the chief guest John D'silva Mumbai along with Rev. Fr. Alban Dsouza, Rector of Attur Basilica, Fr. Ashwin Rebello, Asst. Parish priest of Attur Basilica, Fr. Roman Mascharenhas, Spiritual Director, Sr. Monthi D'silva, Sr. Precilla Dsouza, Mr Vincent Mathias, Mr. Santhosh D'silva, Mr. Richard Pinto and Mrs. Benedicta Noronha.

A felicitation ceremony was organised to felicitate achievers across different fields. Prize distribution ceremony was also carried out for the winners of community day competitions. Doopadakatte ward was crowned as overall champions of community day competitions while Baidal and Nitte ward bagged 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

After the stage program, the cultural program commenced. Many wards came together and performed various cultural activities. After the cultural events, a Baila session was organised which lasted for nearly 2 hours.

The event was concluded by dinner to all the parishioners of Attur.
