Having travelled in different parishes the Regional Youth Convention Cross arrived to St. Lawrence Minor Basilica Attur from Kanajar parish on 23rd August 2022 at 4.30pm.

Rev.Fr. Alban Dsouza, Parish priest and ICYM Director of Attur parish received the cross from Ashish Menezes, ICYM President of Kanajar Unit.

Fr. Vishal Lobo Parish priest and ICYM Director of Kanajar parish, Fr. Roman Mascarenhas, Deacon Ashwin Rebello, ICYM Animators, ICYM members of Attur parish and Kanajar parish, nuns and parishioners were present.

The youth team marched forward with umbrella and lighted candles. Rev. Fr. Alban Dsouza placed the cross at the specially decorated Altar. Fr. Alban Dsouza along with Deacon Ashwin Rebello prayed specifically for all youths, they also prayed for every family and all members of Attur Parish. They also pointed the RYC cross journey and the purpose of sending it to every church.

At the end the faithful gathered bowed down reverently singing hyms of holy cross.

On 24th August 2022 there was a special prayer of cross after 6.30am mass.

On the same day at 3.15pm the church conducted way of cross. A large number of parishioners were present. Then at 4.15pm the RYC cross with great respect was carried to Our Lady Of Perpetual Succour Church, parapady.
